Viscon Plant Technology Centre approached NLight to create and deliver a bespoke LED project aimed at supporting their ongoing exploration of hydroponic growing techniques. As a global leader in innovative horticultural technology, Viscon is deeply involved in automation, harvesting, seed transplantation, tissue culture research and process and packaging solutions. The researchers were delving deeper into hydroponic methods and required a reliable lighting system to support their ongoing efforts.

The new LED setup involved the development of a custom ebb and flow system with integrated LEDs, designed to facilitate the implementation of new growing methods. The NLight RV-1000 played a crucial role by incorporating its wide lens technology, which provides significantly improved uniformity without increasing project costs.

This new system will provide a benchmark and valuable data to optimise the technology Viscon will deliver in the coming years. We look forward to seeing the results of this collaboration.
